Unity – Modular SpaceStation

For a space station I was asked to create a stack-able space station to reach the best performance. So it went out that 8 Pieces are enough for this purpose. Keeping in mind that the final look and feel of the station will be covered by some radiation fog, stars and animated nebulas on top of it while you start defining the parts. Finally the complete station has only 4 baked  textures – 2k each. Combined with some detailed texs for the material (+ 2x 512 by 512 pixles). This allows to switch between lowres- and some fake high-res material by getting closer – and we’re getting REALLY close here.
